The franchise FullMetal Alchemist, is based on the science of Alchemy. There are clear rules which govern the Fullmetal Alchemist universe

and the science of alchemy, which have been discovered through rigorous research. To learn more about the science and improve their skills, the characters go around in search of a philosopher's stone, so that they can revive their dead mother. 
              Edward Elric, the protagonist, is a genius alchemist, and as an alchemist, he can create pretty much anything out of metal. As long as there are materials around him, the can fashion any weapon or machine he wants. He, along with his brother, goes on a search for a philosopher's stone so that he can bypass the Law of Equivalent Exchange and bring back their dead mother. 
                The storyline contains magic, science, action, 
 and many more mature themes. FullMetal Alchemist, makes us question the thin line between ethics and scientific innovations.
