David Lynch's Mulholland Drive starring Naomi Watts is an homage to mindwarping films. In the film, a woman wakes up after surviving a car crash at Mulholland Drive and makes her way down to an apartment in Los Angeles. There the two central characters, Rita and Betty, meet each other. Rita, the survivor of  the crash has no clue about her identity and
where she has come from. She just has loads of cash and a strange blue key with her. She along with Betty, goes out on an adventure in the dazzling world of cinema and crime, where Betty helps Rita to remember her identity. The film is brilliant and got Lynch the nomination for the Best Director at the Academy Awards.
