Pitivi
Pitivi (Stylised: PiTiVi) is an open-source software used for non-linear video editing on Linux. It is developed by different contributors. It supports some simple features such as snapping, splitting, trimming and cutting clips. Pitivi is among the first few free video-editing software that supports MEF (Material Exchange Format). It is also user-friendly; Pitivi provides easy drag-and-drop options, and navigating the tool's user interface is simple and intuitive.

Why you must get it:
It has some very simple media editing features like snapping, cutting clips, trimming, and splitting. The audio mixdown can be visualized as line segments drawn over the audio waveforms. It also has a ton of keyboard shortcuts that help up the video editing process significantly, once  mastered. The person editing the video has the option of adding effects to the video, as and when required, throughout the editing process. Pitivi is essentially designed to bring complex video editing tools to everyone.
